About Me - John the Handyman
My name is John Wilson, I am based in Sandbach and I have loved doing DIY since I was a kid. During a career spent in other industries I have renovated or refurbished a number of properties, drawing on skills learnt from my father, who was an 'expert' DIYer and woodworker, making a lot of his own furniture. He, in turn, inherited his skills from my grandfather, who was a picture framer and owned an artists' shop on Oxford Road in Manchester (long since disappeared under the Mancunian Way).
Having been made redundant from my last employment in 2013 I became a full-time, self-employed handyman and now offer a range of services to local home-owners, landlords and businesses in south Cheshire and north Staffordshire. I am happy to tackle all of those small jobs that trades people aren't interested in and probably won't even respond to your enquiry about.

- Erecting flat-pack furniture
- Putting things up, like blinds, curtain poles and televisions
- Joinery - such as boxing in pipes, loft boarding, skirting, architraves and kitchen fitting
- Tiling - floors and walls in kitchens, bathrooms and WC's
- Electrics - I hold City & Guilds Level 3 BS7671:2008 Requirements for Electrical Installations
- Decorating
- Minor plumbing work
